Understanding the Extreme: our Expedition Based Research
We are travelling to the planet’s most remote regions, from deep caves and frozen polar landscapes to scorching hot deserts, in order to collect samples of microorganisms that live and proliferate in extreme conditions.
Analyzing Data: Searching for Similarities
We are depicting a comprehensive snapshot of the Epigenome and of the Metabolome of the samples that we acquired to find analogies between extremophiles and human individual molecular fingerprints in response to environmental stress. The goal is to define a common “epi-metabolic” molecular pattern in response to environmental stress.
Science Through a Lens: Our Documentary Team
Through our documentaries, we aim to educate and inspire people by explaining complex scientific concepts in a simple and engaging way, and to raise awareness of the urgent need of adaptation in a changing world.
Helping Those who Help Others: Biotech for First Responders
Our final goal is to help those who live and work in challenging environments, like firemen, rescue operators and military personel deployed in remote geographical areas, and to support those who are most vulnerable to the impact of climate change. We aim to provide them with the tools and technologies necessary to adapt and overcome the challenges of a changing world.
